In Oktober 2015, we did a short hike of 4 days in Sachsen, Germany. We walked the 'Malerweg' (112 km) which is a route that goes through the 'Elbsandsteingebirge' and circles the 'Elbe' (river). It is beautiful, but of course not like being in the wilderness. The route passes through a lot of vilages and co-hikers.
The route is easy to walk accept for some very short parts where there are steep stairs (they can be slighty slippery during rainy days). We didn't camp on the route, but slept in a sleepingdorm and (cheap) hotels along the way.
